Skysh

Responsible for creature surfacing, shading, and lighting.

A full-CG fantasy creature, the skysh, textured for open-world RPG game KAIA. Skysh modeled by Dylan Cook, and rock modeled by Alexandra Miller. Project breakdown available here

I created two versions of the creature's textures & shaders in Arnold. The first texture set (created for the game) is bioluminescent -- I took inspiration from deep sea creatures, the Kaiju monsters of Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim, and H.P. Lovecraft's flying polyp.
