Chair study

A quick lighting exercise based on a painting by Jim Holland.

I spent some time on the position of the light (an area light outside of the window, trying to mimic the sunlight) to try to match the shape and location of the window "silhouette" on the floor. I wasn't able to match that same rectangular shape but can keep working with it further.

While this exercise was fun, I may revisit it later as I'd like to work more on matching to photos instead to better replicate the real-world properties of light & shadow.
